Practical learning for the work you want to do.
Self-paced service-business course

Give your client work a process you can rely on.

Learn to define an offer, sell it honestly, agree the scope and deliver work your client can accept. Build the business around your craft, whether that is design, media, audio, video or software.

Explore the lessons, assignments and resource outline. Review course access and purchase terms before enrolling.

Build your Client Delivery Packet.

Bring the key documents together so you can explain the offer, agree the work and handle changes with the client.

Before the work

A service and proposal packet

Connect customer discovery to an offer, estimate and proposal with explicit assumptions.

During delivery

A scope and change-control packet

Use a statement of work, milestones, acceptance criteria and a clear way to agree changes.

At handoff

An acceptance and support packet

Organize client acceptance checks, handoff materials and the boundaries of any ongoing support.

Resource outline

Practical resources for the work.

Explore the working materials described in this course or Blueprint. Review the offer terms for the released resources and access included with your purchase.

Client documents

Make the work clear

Practice explaining what you will deliver and what the agreement leaves out.

  • Discovery and proposal examples
  • Estimate assumptions
  • Statement-of-work structure
Delivery checklists

Manage changes and acceptance

Keep the scope visible as the work develops.

  • Milestone and change-request records
  • Acceptance criteria and UAT checks
  • Handoff and support boundaries
Teaching project

See the process in a workspace

A teaching repository demonstrates the workflow using the d7r template.

  • Project and SOW tracking
  • Example report generation
  • As-is license and setup notes

The repository is a teaching tool provided as-is, without warranty. You decide whether to adapt it for production.

Follow the work from idea to handoff.

Each lab adds a useful part to your business and client-delivery process.

01

Plan the business

Use the FlowState Method to choose the customer, service, constraints and next test.

02

Explain the offer

Prepare a website and a focused marketing message around the work you can actually deliver.

03

Sell and scope

Practice discovery, bidding, proposals and statements of work without committing to unclear requirements.

04

Deliver and agree changes

Track milestones, communicate decisions and handle scope changes before they become surprises.

05

Check and hand over

Use agreed acceptance criteria and a support plan to finish the work clearly.

See how the process works in a teaching project.

A downloadable project is in development alongside the course, based on the d7r template. It will demonstrate project management, statement-of-work tracking and reporting. You can also follow the document-based exercises without installing it.

The repository has not been released. It is a teaching tool, not managed hosting or a production-ready service. Its download must include the as-is, no-warranty license and usage terms.

Learn it. Apply it. Check the work.

Work through an example, make something useful and check it before moving on.

01

Learn

Understand the decision and see how it works in an example.

02

Apply

Use the exercise to work through your own situation.

03

Prove

Compare your work with the assignment criteria and decide what needs another pass.

A few things to know

What should I check before enrolling?

Enrollment is closed while the lessons and materials are prepared. The purchase page must list the price, released downloads, access terms and delivery timing before you can pay.

Will I need to attend live sessions?

No. These are self-paced courses with practical assignments. They do not include group coaching, private consulting or calls with Spencer.

How will support work?

You will be able to send questions and feedback through the lessons and modules. Staff will use them to support learners and improve the course. We will explain the support scope and response times before enrollment opens.

Is this a software-development course?

No. It teaches the business and client-delivery process. Software is an example, not the required service you must sell.

Are the templates legal advice?

No. A proposal or scope template is a working example. Get qualified advice for the contracts, obligations and business setup that apply to you.
